RR Salt Remediator

RR Salt Remediator is a blended, concentrated aqueous solution containing a state-of-the-art, readily biodegradable, non-ionic surfactant and wetting agent, which is listed as a “CleanGredient” for direct release under USEPA’s Safer Choice Program and a calcium based, cation donor chemistry.

RR Salt Remediator is diluted to use with water and applied to salt/sodium (Na+) ion contaminated soils. Rapid penetration and even distribution of the solution in the impacted soil substrate creates an exchange of the toxic Na+ cation with the more benign Ca+ cation thereby stabilizing the soil chemistry. Treated areas may then be vegetatively reclaimed, restored, and reused.

Product features and benefits:

  • Effective at recovering salt damaged soils generating vegetative growth
  • Results may be obtained within months rather than years as with other available competitive products
  • Extremely cost effective when compared to other remedial options or dig and haul
  • Quick, easy, and safe to use
  • Affordability – effective at light concentration working dilutions
  • Environmentally friendly
  • Unlimited shelf life (unopened)

Typical applications and uses:

RR Salt Remediator is used for brine impacted or salt damaged sites for in situ soil remediation particularly found in the energy sector or oil and gas industry.

Mixing procedures:

RR Salt Remediator is delivered as a concentrate and must be diluted with water to work properly. Active solutions can be formulated by premixing or eduction. RR Salt Remediator is 100% soluble in water. It is recommended that when preparing a solution, you first add the water into the mixing container and then follow by adding the proper amount of RR Salt Remediator. In most situations, RR Salt Remediator is applied at a 3% active solution.
